haha ripped this from someone blog..
lolx... interesting isn't it.
After awhile...
...you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul...
...and you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't mean security...
...and you begin to learn that kisses ain't contracts and presents aren't promises...
...and you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyesopen, with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child......and you learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans...
After awhile......you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much...
...and you learn to plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers...
...and you learn that you can really endure... that you are really strong and you really do have worth......and you learn and you learn... with every goodbye you learn...Relationships of all kinds are like sand held in your hand. Held loosely, with an open hand, and the sand remains where it is. But the minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers. You may hold on to some of it but most of it will be spilled. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for that person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold it too tightly, too possessively, the relationship will slip away and is lost.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on your hearts, and we are never ever the same. You never lose by loving; you only lose by holding back.
It's alright letting yourself go, as long as you can get yourself back.
