and how not confident i am about it.

recently i just got to know.
in Roman numerals, CD means 400.
C is actually 100, and D represent 500.
so CD means its 400. (500-100)
meaning 100 (C) less than 500 (D).
i can seriously imagine the difficulty of reading roman numbers.

imagine X represent 10.
and I represent 1.
so if the number is 711.
in roman it would be DCCXI!?
which is D(500) + C(100) + C(100) + X(10) + I(1).

and one more thing.
if you ever notice.
at the ending credits of a movie or drama whatever.
usually foreign films.
you will tend to see roman numerals at the end.
such as MCMLXXIV, would means 1974.
it shows the year that the film was produced.

amazing huh!
that's what my sister learn in school.
so its 2004 now, it should be... MMIV.
